Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Freight Consultant to join our team and help expand our customer base while ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone with recent experience in domestic or international freight brokerage, particularly with full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) services. The focus will be on generating new business through cold calling, outreach, and on-site meetings, as well as building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and ongoing satisfaction. Once a new account is brought in, the operations team will handle day-to-day management, allowing you to focus on client growth and strategic relationship-building.
We're looking for a self-starter who takes initiative, thrives on challenges, and is comfortable using technology to enhance their workflow. Experience with CRMs, especially HubSpot, is highly preferred, and a tech-savvy mindset is a must for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and acquire new customers through cold calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Understand client needs and present tailored logistics solutions.
  • Ensure a smooth transition of new accounts to the operations team for ongoing management.
  • Serve as a point of contact for client concerns during the onboarding phase and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities.
  • Maintain and organize client information using a CRM system (HubSpot experience preferred).
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and proactively develop strategies to grow the customer base.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in domestic or international freight brokerage, with a focus on FTL and LTL services.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development within the logistics industry.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with clients both remotely and in person.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience using CRMs and tools to manage workflows and enhance productivity.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to take initiative to achieve goals and deliver results.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
