Overview The Irrigation Field Supervisor oversees irrigation operations and water feature systems across multiple locations. This role manages irrigation technicians and could manage other field employees, ensuring timely service, inspections, and repairs. The Irrigation Field Supervisor enforces company safety and performance standards, develops technicians, provides hands-on field support, and partners with leadership to address regional backlog work. The position reports Branch Manager and dotted line to the Director of Irrigation. Responsibilities Lead and develop Irrigation Technicians through coaching, training, and performance evaluations. Repair irrigation systems, including trenching, pipe fitting, wiring, and electrical timer setup. Allocate workloads, monitor schedules, and ensure projects are completed on time. Collaborate with the Branch Manager, Branch Administrator, and Director of Irrigation to implement best practices, equipment improvements, and electronic tracking systems. Provide quality control through inspections and audits of completed work. Manage irrigation operations, including installations, audits, troubleshooting, and repairs, while providing hands-on field support to ensure quality and efficiency. Train technicians on irrigation audits, corrective measures, and daily operational practices that align with company standards. Ensure all work complies with Focal Pointe specifications, safety protocols, and industry regulations. Support branch operations with backlog service and maintenance, including controller programming, system inspections, and seasonal shutdowns/startups. Partner with technicians in the field to model best practices, reinforce safety, and resolve technical challenges. Conduct system audits, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Assist in mapping, testing, and seasonal system preparation (e.g., winterization). Maintain inventory and ensure safe, organized equipment storage. Adapt to and effectively use company-approved applications, technology, and processes as needed. Travel as needed to provide leadership, operational oversight, and direct field support. Any other duties as assigned. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with irrigation systems, such as leaks, equipment malfunctions, or inefficiencies.
