The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of all manufacturing and facility equipment. This hands-on role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of industrial and manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues, using test equipment, schematics, and technical documentation to identify root causes and implement timely, effective repairs.
Conduct regular equipment inspections to detect wear, misalignment, or potential failures early, documenting findings and taking corrective action to prevent unplanned downtime.
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to accurately track maintenance activities, generate and close work orders, schedule preventive maintenance, and log all repairs, parts usage, and labor hours.
Install, align, test, and calibrate new equipment and components, ensuring systems operate within specified parameters and comply with engineering and safety standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in process optimization, equipment reliability programs, and root cause analysis (RCA) to address recurring issues and enhance system performance.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly following OSHA guidelines, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company safety policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and operations to coordinate maintenance schedules, plan downtime, and achieve facility and production goals.
