Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Facility : Ottumwa Regional Health Center
Location : 1001 E Pennsylvania Ave, Ottumwa, IA 52501

 

 

📋 Assignment Details

• Role : Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health Unit (BHU)
• Shift : 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours : 36 or 48 hours/week
• Contract Length : 91 days (13 weeks)
• Weekend Hours : Yes
• Call Requirements : None
• Start Days : Monday or Tuesday allowed
• Travel Experience Required : Yes – will reject candidates without it
• Floating : May be required to float within a 25-mile radius

• Unit : Adult Behavioral Health Unit (Ages 18–65)
• Number of Beds : 14
• Average Daily Census (ADC) : ~7
• Patient Ratio : 1 RN : 6 patients
• Common Diagnoses :
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bipolar/Manic Disorders
  • Borderline Personality Disorder
  • Suicidal Ideation
• EHR System : MediTech
• Supervisor : Regina Sedore

📌 Requirements

1. Iowa SING Background Check (NO EXCEPTIONS)
   • Must include both criminal and child abuse portions
   • No instant or statewide searches accepted
2. All background checks (county + state) must clear before start
3. Mandatory Reporter Certification : Child & Adult required
4. Drug Screen : 10-panel, must include opiates
5. Titers (within last 12 months) :
   • MMR
   • Varicella
   • Hepatitis B
   • TB
6. Minimum Experience :
   • 2+ years in Behavioral Health/Psych
   • Travel RN experience is required
