Are you a dedicated Psychiatrist looking to make a meaningful difference? The Central Texas VA Health Care System in Temple, Texas, is seeking a compassionate full-time Psychiatrist to provide top-tier psychiatric treatment for Veterans.

Position Highlights:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment for a range of mental health issues.
• Provide comprehensive care including diagnostic assessments, medication evaluations, and crisis intervention.
• Utilize evidence-based pharmacological treatments to enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, and more.
• Engage in team meetings and treatment planning for coordinated care.
• Participate in the education and supervision of residents and medical students.
• Offer care through face-to-face encounters or the VA Video Connect Modality.

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday (7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

Desired Qualifications:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Experience as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Comfort and experience with telehealth modalities.
• High-level practice using evidence-based medicine.
• Buprenorphine certification and treatment experience.
