Position Summary: Provides direct patient care. Organizes and conducts medically prescribed speech therapy programs to restore function under the supervision of the Speech Language Pathologist. May perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: California State Speech Therapy Assistant. High School Graduate or equivalent. BLS, CPR. Clinical training experience and continuing education in specialty area.

Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center (PVHMC) Rehabilitation Services is seeking a full-time Speech and Language Pathology Assistant to join our large Rehab Department. Opportunities currently exist in our 2 pediatric outpatient settings.

PVHMC is a nationally recognized and award winning 412 Bed, non-profit, acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center. Rehabilitation Services at PVHMC has grown to 75 licensed therapists and 110 Associates. Services include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. We are proud to have over 20 clinical specialty programs, each led by an experienced and highly trained therapist. The PVHMC campus is home to our 11,000 sq. ft. outpatient clinic. We have 5 other outpatient clinics in the neighboring cities of Claremont, La Verne and Chino Hills. Two of these outpatient practices are exclusively pediatrics.

PVHMC SPLAs work under the supervision of CA licensed SLP-CCC therapists at either of our “Milestones Centers for Child Development, each with state-of-the-art equipment. All newly hired SLPAs are provided with extensive and detailed orientation and training programs, focused on your unique role in our medical/clinical setting. Teammates include therapists and assistants from not only Speech, but PT and OT as well. Collaboration across all services is the norm when it comes to caring for our smallest and most vulnerable patients.

Salary range: $31.99 - $45.02 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
